SLTBR Membership Information
The Society for Light Treatment and Biological Rhythms is a not-for-profit international organization founded in 1988, dedicated to fostering research, professional development and clinical applications in the fields of light therapy and biological rhythms. Members receive discounted subscription fees for the Journal of Biological Rhythms, and have the opportunity to participate in its annual research and training conferences.

Regular Members are professionals with advanced degrees or equivalent
who are actively working in the field of light treatment or biological rhythms,
as evidenced by clinical work, research or publications in peer-reviewed
journals. Only regular members have voting privileges. The Board of Directors
will vote on applications for regular membership.
Associate Members are persons interested in light treatment and
biological rhythms.
Student Members are full-time students pursuing an advanced degree in
relevant fields related to bright light treatment or biological rhythms.
Post-doctoral fellows may request special consideration with documentation of
financial hardship. Please Note: Applications for this category must provide
proof of full-time student status.
Corresponding Members are research colleagues working in countries from
which dues cannot be transferred in US$ to our membership offices. Criteria are
the same as for regular membership.
Corporate Members are manufacturers and distributors of light treatment
apparatus and ancillary equipment (e.g. photometers, filtering lenses,
actigraphs), publishers of books and journals on relevant themes, light therapy
clinics, etc.
Parameters for inclusion on
referral list
The Society makes available, at
minimal cost to those requesting it, an information packet which, among other
materials, includes a list of its members who have agreed to be included on a clinician
referral list. In order to be included on this referral list, a member must be
licensed to practice a healing art and must complete all information requested
in items 5 - 8 on this membership form. SLTBR provides this list for
information purposes only. The Society does not endorse the practice of or
treatment by any clinician included on this list. An individual receiving this
list is responsible for making his/her own determination regarding appropriate
health care.
