We are pleased to announce that the 21st Annual Meeting of the SLTBR will be held in Berlin, Germany. This international meeting will feature cutting edge research including symposia--“Sleep Deprivation, Light Therapy, Phase Advance: Chronotherapeutic Adjuncts to Medications in Major Depression”, “Lighting and Architecture: What can Chronobiology Offer Architects and Lighting Designers?”, and “EUCLOCK: Entrainment in Humans and Animals”--, a CME course on chronobiology, and much more! There will also be an optional event on the afternoon of Saturday June 27th—a tour of the newly renovated ("chronobiological lighting") Department of Psychiatry in the Vivantes Klinik Berlin (headed by Professor Jürgen Staedt). This year's meeting will continue our long tradition of combining scientific excellence with international exchange of ideas and collaboration. We sincerely hope you will join us in Berlin. SLTBR is a not-for-profit international organization founded in 1988, dedicated to fostering research, professional development and clinical applications in the fields of light therapy and biological rhythms. Members of the SLTBR have research and clinical interests in the healthy use of environmental lighting and in conditions related to light and biological rhythms including seasonal affective disorder (SAD), jet lag, shift work, sleep disorders, eating disorders, nonseasonal depression, bipolar disorder, and premenstrual syndrome. They study and use treatments including light therapy, chronotherapy, melatonin, serotonergic medications, and others. The corporate members of the SLTBR develop and market devices for the scientific measurement and the therapeutic use of light.
